Unable to install update - Qnap 1.24.4

Player Version#: Samsung TV, IOS

I’ve already skipped two versions that cannot be installed on my NAS, Qnap TS 253Be. the last working version I have was 1.23.4.

Please help. Thanks!

Please detail, as best you can, what you mean by “cannot be installed” .

Does Manual Install fail? Does something else fail?

Thanks for responding. It was the usual manual install from the package downloaded from the plexweb. The install doesn’t go ahead and within the Qnap web interface, a popup window will prompt unable to install package.

Anyway, it was resolved now. A new firmware for the Qnap (5.0.0.1808) I installed today solved the problem. After the update, I tried the same package and it went through the install and finished it without hickups. I am now on the latest version of the plex server (version as mentioned on my OP).

I did reach out to QNAP so I know what bugs they might have fixed and if there’s anything further I must do for QTS 5.0
