Unable to leave / remove friends server?

Server Version#: Version 1.29.0.6244
Player Version#: N/A

I have access to two of my friends servers. One of them he took offline permanently but it still shows in my side bar. I have tried a bunch of methods suggested online but I cannot find where his server is listed in order to leave / remove it.

Only my local server is listed when I got to Settings > Authorized Devices > Servers

or Settings > Plex Home

or the sidebar in Settings

Another suggestion on Reddit (from a year ago) was to go to Users & Sharing but I don’t see that section. I think that’s from an older version of the UI?

Suggestions?

Never mind. Just found it buried deep…

Settings > Manage Library Access > click friends name > under ‘You have access to’ click Edit and choose Leave Server.

Seems like a gap in the documentation too. This page should cover it but only talks about removing a friend complete. Not a one of their servers

Hilarious when I search google for some of the exact terms in the process it turns up literally zero results. Good luck finding this process, sheesh.

plex "Manage Library Access" "leave server"

Generally you would click on the friend in the Plex Home or Manage Library access settings (like if you wanted to change their restrictions) then click edit on their server and then the leave server button.

Though it sounds like it may be a ghost server on their account which I can remove manually from their account if you don’t see it there,

Can’t even give feedback. Support just leads you to the FAQ, Forums, etc. No other department for giving feedback. As a Plex Pass subscriber I’d expect to have better channels that this. Plex seriously needs some competition.

you’re giving feedback right now

Yeah I found it and solved it before you replied. Why isn’t this in the help article though?

Well yeah IF someone like you happens to see it, there’s no guarantee when posting on a forum.

I’d appreciate that.

Don’t take my comments personally BTW. They’re not directed at you specifically. I just don’t like it when companies that charge for subscriptions rely on farming the community for support for free and don’t give a direct support option.

I totally understand that having the Q&A out in the open like this helps make support issues and ultimately their answers visible to other customers, which is a good thing, but there should still be some kind of direct support channel for paying customers IMO… or at least a proper feedback mechanism straight to employees rather than relying on it maybe getting seen in an open forum.

I assure you i don’t. No worries about expressing a constructive opinion, thanks for the feedback
