Unable to log in local plex server

I can no longer log into my plex server. It appears the Plex changed the authentication choices… I used be able to log into plex with my username, now I need my email., gmail or facebook. After rebooting my computer and trying to logged in I get

I can log into the plex.tv with my email account no issues, but not on my Plex server on my pc.

Attached also is the log for this issue. I removed my email address, and my public IP from the log.

you can still use your username in the email field

Which button did you press google, facebook, or email

I used my email, which works online. !

When I log in with my username or password in the field I get “We were unable to complete your request” and then I see the screen that posted first when I opened this issue.

does using the actual Local IP address:32400/web or 127.0.0.1:32400/web instead of “localhost” work .

It should not matter AFAIK but what version of server do you have?

That’s the EXACT same problem I am having.

I have updated to the latest server version and can no longer access the server via a(ny) browser. I can see my server using either the Plex app on my iPad and also via my Apple TV’s (3/4 gen).

I am running the server on a Synology DS412+ and always have with no issues previously.

Any ideas?

I am having a hard time with Plex. I pay for CBS and they aren’t letting me use it. Also, I wanted to watch the Handmaid’s Tale but they are charging 14.99 when it is supposed to be free. HELP

We are not a content provider. If CBS is giving you issues contact CBS. Plex cannot play DRMd media which anything you pay for from some service will be.

Please if you are not having the same issue with signing in as the user who created this thread please make your own thread

No, the loop back IP does not work at all. This issue started around the time I did the last upgrade.
What is weird is that I can log into plex.tv online and say launch and I see my Plex landing page, but I can’t access plex from the computer, or from my PS4. I do see Plex App crash messages in the log I posted - Is anyone from Plex able to review the log?

After signing in an launching my Plex account from the website, and then using loop back ip 127.0.0.1 I was able to log into Plex on my local computer. I saw an update, and am running the update now. After the update localhost in the URL still does not work. I will keep using the loop back ip.

Mine has all of a sudden started to function like nothing was wrong… Haven’t done a thing either…
