Unable to ping IPv4 addresses after starting PMS (remote access not working)

Server Version#: 1.32.1.6999
Player Version#: All
OS: Ubuntu 23.04

Whenever I start up PMS on my ubuntu host (23.04 (Lunar Lobster)), ipv4 routing stops working. Meaning, prior to starting PMS (using systemctl start plexmediaserver.service), I can ping an ip like ping 8.8.8.8. As soon as I start PMS, I’m no longer able to ping outside IP addresses.
Worse yet, PMS shows " Fully accessible outside your network" in green but the “Private” section shows all red Xs.
I’ve tried everything in troubleshooting section. Including port forwarding etc. There are no firewalls running on my server.
It was working properly until a recent update to both PMS and my Verizon router (which enabled ipv6). I’ve tried disabling and enabling ipv6.

Have a look at the guidance in this thread. If Verizon’s Home Network Protection feature is enabled, try disabling it.

Thanks. While I did have routing issues, it looks like Verizon HNP was the problem.

Good deal, glad you got it working.
