Until recently, I’ve only used Plex locally within my home network and it’s been working fine. I’ve started turning Remote Access on to watch when I’m away from my home but there’s some weird behavior happening.
When Remote Access is OFF everything works fine locally. No buffering, skips, or lag.
When Remote Access is ON everything works fine remotely but local becomes unwatchable. Like the show will take a few minutes just to start, then buffer every 5 seconds.
The workaround now is to turn Remote Access on when I leave the house and back off when I get home but that’s a little inconvenient. Anyone have any insights about this?
