Unable To Reach PMS

So suddenly I have been unable to login to the PMS locally using Plew Web UI. When I do, I get the no content available screen. The other day I was able to login to the PMS locally using the preferences option in the Mac menu bar and delete all known devices, which then allowed me to login using Plex Web as normal. But now that does not work. I cannot login to the PMS and manage recorded shows, etc. What has happened?

Just to add, if I enable remote access it works. But formerly not enabling this option also worked. Also no local network changes have been made. And note that I am trying to access the PMS over the same LAN that it sits on, never externally.

Are those devices on the same subnet?
If you segregated your home network on purpose, you might want to configure your PMS to treat the other subnets as part of your home network… (Settings > [Server Name] > Network > LAN networks)

I did read thru all of that article before posting but did not see anything that applied to me other than the fact that it works fine when remote access is enabled.

Yes all devices are on the same subnet. My local network does have 3 subnets defined, but all media related devices are on the same one. Nothing has changed on my network in years so it is puzzling as to why this is happening.

When I disable remote access using a web browser on the same machine as PMS, using https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/, I get a screen that says “app.plex.tv is unable to connect to “mac mini” securely”. Are there any tests that can be done to narrow it down more?
