Cannot play movie

When I access PMS via www.plex.tv it throws up a popup that says I’m trying to use my PMS remotely, even though my laptop and my NAS are physically IN THE SAME ROOM. How is that remote???

I have to access my PMS via the IP address to watch videos, but local access does not provide all the bells and whistles that Plex corporate adds.

Why can’t corporate Plex understand that SOME ISPs assign users an IP addresss that is not local???

How so? Both are the web app. What are you missing?

I can see the Discover media source in my local web app.
