when i try to remotely access PMS thru IOS remotely. i can see my library just fine but when i click play on anything it gives me and error has occurred message with a long line of text and a status of 503 at the bottom. i am at my wits end and i feel like i have tried everything. everything from making sure the server is plugged in and has power to trying port forwarding. which i do not think is the issue because i am able to see thru console on plex that Plex/IOS is requesting data.
any help with this would be greatly appreciated

a little update looks like the remote issue seems to be intermittent. some media will play and some wont. also while remotely connected through the dash app i can see everything that is playing anything on my local network. which makes no sense.

just a recap all users that are accessing PMS remotely where unable to play anything. Plex for IOS would get a message saying error occurred shortly after hitting play. Plex for roku remotely connecting would just stay at 13% right after hitting play. both are still able to see libraries remotely and verified through plex console where you can see data requests, negating modem and router issues. my fix - in the Plex for IOS client there is a setting in video and audio for cellular quality and it was set for 720p HD, i changed the setting to maximum (data rates may apply). now i am able to play all media without hiccups. will update for plex for roku when i get a chance.
Okay… Plex for Roku will only play H.264 codec media remotely, already tried to delete and reinstall app, remove user and re add. ive noticed that when they try to play some thing that is not H.264 codec it throws the server to indirect instead of nearby. then the server disconnects temporarily and then comes back. but does NOT disconnect any one that is playing of the server locally. has any one seen this? should we ditch the rokus? and go to something else?
