Recently decided to replace the old 5400rpm drives in my Mac mini 2011 server with a SSD - installation was a pain, but managed to get it running again, and did a restore from a Time Machine backup, which seemed to go well -
However, I noticed that Plex Server would not start - tried playing with it, nothing worked, so I just downloaded the latest version and installed that - nothing - double click the icon, bounces once like its gonna run, then nada -
Read thru all the delete corrupt files, run repairs, reboot, and even tried reinstalling a couple more times - everything I could find on the Plex site - nothing happening -
All my media is on external drives, are there files there that need to be removed? - I always loved my Plex, but this is getting beyond reasonable level of frustration - all I did was restore a Time Machine backup, which I would think would be a pretty reasonable way for a home media unit to work -
Any help at all greatly appreciated -
