I have been trying to setup a Plex DVR with an HD Homerun. I believe everything is connected correctly. I go through the app.plex.tv web interface to setup the DVR and it detects the HD Homerun, does a channel scan, and takes me to the guide download page. There I enter my zip code and…nothing. Sometimes a little ‘loading circle’ (???) spins for a bit, but nothing happens. I cannot click “Continue”, it remains ‘dimmed’. Sometimes I get an error message, but usually nothing.
I know the guide can take a while to download, but I cannot even get past the page where I enter my zip/postal code.
Ryan,
Mine used to work. I am not using an Nvidia shield but a dedicated server. I deleted my homerun quatro tuner and tried setting it up again. Plex is stuck at the zipcode as well. I also tried updating the firmware on my homerun to version 20190621. Reboots to the server, modem and router, homerun as well. Plex always stuck at zipcode. Something going on with Plex this month?
Have the same issue. Previously had DVR defined. Listing would not update. Deleted and attempted to redefine but fails at zip code entry panel. ‘Continue’ button stays greyed after trying various zip codes.
I know this is an older topic but google led me here and I wanted to post what fixed it for me so maybe others with the same problem will find a fix.
To be clear, my issue was the same. Using my browser and the plex.tv settings dialog I clicked to set up Live TV and DVR. It found my HDHome Run Connect TV Tuner after clicking to accept the next dialog for location was presented that I entered my zip code into and could not click on continue to complete the setup.
The Fix:
On the Shield open the Google Play Store App
on the left side go down to My Apps and click OK followed by Update All
More than likely like my self the Plex App needed an update
Once updated give it a few seconds and open https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/server in your browser again. Look for Live TV and DVR and click on that again and run through the setup utility again. Make sure to re-scan for channels again even if channels are displayed before continuing to the location page and entering you zip code.
This time it should work
GL and I hope this helped
