A good strategy is to
- downgrade to the previous server version. You should find an installer in the Plex data folder, in the subfolder
Updates - perform a thorough database rebuild, using GitHub - ChuckPa/PlexDBRepair: Database repair utility for Plex Media Server databases
- verify that all libraries are working as expected
- verify that there is plenty of free space on the storage volume which has the plex data folder on it (on Windows, that is C: by default)
- perform the server update again, and upon first start let it do its database updates undisturbed – even if takes a few hours (see Plex Media Server - #612 by drzoidberg33 )
Don’t let the machine go into hibernation and don’t shut it down during this time!
