Whenever I try to view Live TV from my HD Homerun Connect, I get the following message: “Playback Error. Unable to tune channel (Not on Air).”
Just updated to Plex Version 1.13.8.5395 yesterday. Plex is still generating video preview thumbnails since then, and is generally running very slowly, it won’t even stream low resolution titles without glitchy playback. And now we’ve discovered it won’t play Live TV, either. In fact, I tried to watch 2 live channels just now on my computer and the Activity monitor shows 2 live TV recordings in progress even though no recordings are scheduled; I tried to VIEW the channels, not RECORD them.
I’ve got the same issue : Unable to tune channel - after updating to Version 1.13.8.5395. I see a few others are reporting this, but no solution that I’ve found yet. Does plex monitor these forums? I also noticed the recording activity too. What is going on Plex???
Well, I’m happy for ya. I’ve rebooted Plex, rebooted my computer and nothing works. I have a HDHomeRun 4-tuner and it works just fine with all the non-Plex Apps. I also rebooted my router and the HDHomeRun device and nothing helps. This all started when I upgraded Plex recently.
