Unauthorized device was used to sign in to your Plex account

I keep getting these emails stating that a device in Central/South America has been used to sign into my account. I have changed my password several times, I’ve turned on 2FA, yet they still keep coming. How do I stop these? Should I be concerned?

A new device was used to sign in to your Plex account:

  • Account: ****** (I hid this)
  • Device: Plex for Android (Mobile)
  • Location: Juarez, Quintana Roo, Mexico (estimated)
  • IP address: 187.150.205.6

If you don’t recognize this activity, we recommend that you change your password immediately to secure your account.

When you change your password, check the box to Sign out connected devices after password change.

This will also unclaim your Plex Media Server (remove it from your account).

You will need to re-claim it after changing your password.

Do you have any users on a VPN?

I do not. I’ve changed my password again, and made sure to log off al devices, and am now waiting to see if it happens again.
