Unauthorized plex media server

Server Version#: 1.19.4.2854-25d22e39e
Client Version - web app, RokuTV (6.5.4.6365-98e5fa548-Plex)

Everything was running fine on my Plex until I signed out on my RokuTV.

Symptoms:

  • When I sign my RokuTV back in I can’t see my plex media server.
  • I can’t see the server or the Server tab (in Settings menu) when I open plex web app on the laptop running the server.
  • My daughter’s account (set to share on local network only) can see the server, all the media, etc. - works fine.

What I have tried:

  • Reboot the server - no help
  • log out and log back in - no help
  • log in to the server using local IP address (http://localhost:32400/web/index.html - no help
  • allow unsecured connections - no help

Under all the above attempts the Settings>Server tab does not appear.

Any suggestions on where to go from here are appreciated.

On the Roku app there is a “More” tab, clicking it shows the server’s name and gives a “Sign in” or “Re-try connection” option. When I click “Sign In” I am given a code to enter at a website, entering the code takes me back to the user selection menu, click-rinse-repeat. When I select my daughter as the user, the server appears, all content is available.

On the Plex-Web interface there is no “More” tab, there is a “Your Media” tab at the bottom of the left side menu. Clicking that tab simply offers the opportunity to “Get Plex Media Server” - something I have obviously already done and am running correctly or my daughter’s user account wouldn’t be able to access the server.
