Ok so here’s my dilemma…I have started re-tagging my entire music collection (something I’ve put off for many years). Since I’ve done this plex hasn’t recognized the changes…what I need is to understand what plex dance does…can I just unplug my hd that contains my music and scan library empty trash plug hd back in and re scan…is that essentially what plex dance is saying. Would I loose all the info I added to my music (75% of my music is bootleg concerts). I’ve added venue, personal reviews of each show will plex dance erase that info. Thanks for the info
Have you tried refreshing the metadata of your library since you updated the tags of your files?
With the Plex Dance, you force Plex to forget it knew those files – that’ll include any manually added metadata.
Yes I have done that re scan, refresh metadata etc nothing worksb100%
Have you configured Plex to prefer embedded metadata?
