Server Version#: 1.32.1.6999
Window 2016 Server
Google fiber, single nat. Server IP static, port forwarding set 32400.
I can’t figure this out, also is there a specific .log file that monitors the activity? I check the status each update, and all is functioning. Whatever the cause it, it is totally random. I have reloaded everything at some point, but the problem persists. Suggestions? TIA -B
SAME issue.
Also running Windows 2016 Server. Fiber internet, all gigabit network, single NAT, static internal IP address with port forwarding. I also have 4 Netgear NAS devices copying my entire library that all have remote access with NO issues but the Windows 2016 server cannot maintain a remote connection longer than 5-10 seconds. Any solutions would be appreciated.
If the remote access notification stays green for a short time then goes red, that generally means it’s not working at all
Check to see if the port you opened for Plex is actually open
Yes that was it for some reason… the other 4 NAS plex servers were fine but this particular one it wasn’t liking the port I chose (they were all sequential starting from the default plex port). I assigned it the next one incrementally, rebooted and it appears to like the new port. Technology is fun - when will we get to the point where we can ask it to figure itself out?
I’ll just blame Windows as Microsoft likes to make things difficult just because.
Oh no, you can learn it. That just happens to be the exact time someone decides they should “fix” it.
Then you have to learn it all over again
Anyway, glad it’s working….for now lol
