Privacy policy apart, this is an optional (convenient) feature. You don’t like it? Don’t use it. Simple.
They said the same thing about sharing usage data with Plex, until they made it mandatory in the new privacy policy. Forgive me for not believing them after betraying our trust like this. What’s optional now might not be optional forever.
@Gregflix
We were using a third party SSO for our campus users, it logged them in based on there campus identity. All it did was inject the correct user name and password fir the user at in the boxes. Since there was a direct url to the email login this worked as expected. With this new unified login approach there is no direct url to a login in page with the user name and password. So my SSO solution has failed because of the extra click. Is there a way to get a direct url to a login page, preferably the email login but I can make any of them work if you can get me a url to a direct login page.
