I’m new to plex and am happy with the functionalities it provides. I especially like the music library management system and Plexamp that goes with it. So I paid a yearly subscription and am in the process of migrating my music ratings from DS Audio on Synology into the Plex library.
Then I hit a snag.
I only need a 5-star rating system without the half stars, as this is the system used in DS Audio. I’m glad that Plexamp on iOS can let you choose which system to use. But on both Plex Web and the desktop player, it’s defaulted into 5-star with half stars. I looked everywhere in settings and searched extensively online, but could not find a way to get rid of the half stars.
There already is no rating/playlist migration mechanisms between DS Audio and Plex. And I’m fine with it. I’m ok with rating every song manually in Plex. But the half star system requires very precise clicks and significantly increases the workload.
Request: either give us an easy way to choose the rating system on Plex Web and Windows Player, or unify it across the platforms (so that when I set it to 5-star without half stars on my phone, it is synced on Web and Windows).
