I run Plex Media Server on my QNAP at home via the web interface and PS4, on iOS while traveling, and at work via the web interface and with PlexAmp.
I have noticed that when rating music in the web interface, there are 5 rating options (the full stars), while PlexAmp offers rating with half stars (10 rating options). I personally prefer the half-star system, however, the web interface won’t display half stars, so some rated tracks will look as though they have a slightly higher rating than they actually do. When the track is played back through PlexAmp, the half star rating is represented for the track that was rated.
It’s not a big deal, but a minor tweak feature request: It would be great to have the half-star rating system represented in the web interface.
In addition to this, I have noticed that the album rating and the artist rating work independently to the track rating. Meaning that I can give the album a rating of 5* even though no song was rated at 5*. It would be nice to see the album rating dynamically update based on the ratings given to the tracks…and in conjunction with the album ratings, the artist rating would refresh dynamically based on the album ratings, divided by the number of albums for that artist.
Is this feature already implemented and I am missing a setting to update the Artist and Album ratings?
