I have procured plex.tv/claim tokens, and updated the docker container settings, restarted the container multiple times, but this issue still occurs.

If I switch user, and log in with one of the plex managed accounts, the server shows up fine.

a few questions:

  • why does this happen with plex (the paid solution) and not with jellyfin or emby?

  • what can I do, to stop this from happenning again? that does not require me diving into the depths of editing some obscure difficult to get to xml file buried somwhere in the docker image, or nuking my currently existing installation>?
