unRAID Transcoding only partially working suddenly

Hardware: unRAID 6.9.12 8600k iGPU with --device=/dev/dri (has been working for 1yr)
Hi, transcoding suddenly stopped working fully. Essentially remote users can’t HW transcode a 1080p x264 stream. I tested it on the cellphone and it’s the same. This works on local players perfectly. It’s similar on the web app accessed locally. It transcoded a 4K HDR10 stream just fine. With the 1080p x264 stream, some 100-byte files are created in the transcode folder but no .ts or other files. There is a spinning disc but nothing further. Weirdly the Dashboard status shows screen shots of the video playing, and states that HW transcode is on, correctly.

Only recent changes have been upgrade of unRAID licence to a plus which weirdly reset settings and changed my server name back to Tower. I added another drive an LSI card for data ports.

Hi, I have used GPU statistics to see that the iGPU is not activated by plex. I checked transcoding with Jellyfin and it works perfectly, as does GPU scanning of movie files by tdarr. So it seems to be a plex issue. And the 4k HEVC file that did transcode, was a software transcode, not iGPU. Plex detects the iGPU as described in settings>transcode, so not sure why it’s not starting
