Unwanted push notifications from shared libraries

Hello,

I’m receiving push notifications for a friend’s shared library which seems wrong. I do not want their push notifications and there’s no way to turn it off. The Push Notifications setting is not available in the web settings for a library you do not own. The other person’s Plex server runs on MacOS.

Which mobile platform are you getting your notifications on? That’s where you would turn them off, in the notifications setting for your mobile device.

You should be able to turn them off also in the Plex app settings where you’re receiving them.

There is nowhere in the iOS Plex app notification settings that allows you to control notifications /per Plex server/. These are global settings.

You are in full control what notifications you want to get.
For System/Device Notifications…

  • if enabled, click on the setting/line
  • disable All Servers
  • select which servers you want to be notified about

For Media Notifications

  • if enabled, click on the setting/line
  • disable All Libraries
  • select which libraries you want to be notified about

Holy cow this is not intuitive. There is no visual indication that if I disable “All Libraries” that it will make all of the libraries appear. It looks like a totally binary on/off button for everything.

Please change this so everything is visible but greyed out until you disable “All Libraries”.
