Hey everyone, I have a Samsung q80t (55in 2020 model) and my plex server is hooked up to my router through ethernet. If my TV is hooked up to ethernet, regardless of cable or port, the Tizen plex app rebuffers the video every second or two. If I unplug the cable everything works but then the rest of my apps don’t perform as well (namely YouTube). I hate having to constantly plug and unplug this cable. Any idea what the issue could be? As I’ve mentioned I have tried different cables.
Im having the same issue as well. 4k on 20Mbps works fine when on wifi but stuttering on buffering a lot on a wired connection. I can confirm that the cable isnt the issue as i tried multiple ethernet cables with the same result.
I find it hard to believe that a wired connection will loose to a wifi connection.
This has been discussed numerous times. The NIC in your TV is 10/100Mb while the WiFi is likely AC. WiFi is faster on most TVs. Bite the bullet and spend money on a GOOD wifi system.
I would understand that if my ISP is beyond 100Mbps. But its only 75/75, which in paper I dont max out. Unless Im misunderstanding something, 10/100 NIC’s on TV’s should be more that enough to stream 4k content.
