Had plex able to run server on 1.18.8.2527. plex app on android could see files on wd ex2 and chromcast fine. Upgraded to lifetime pass via website on wd ex2 ultra web site (via plex). Couldn’t get android app to recognize pass. uninstalled and reinstalled. now android app can’t find server. WD EX2 ultra could not see music library once logging in with pass. Asked for server to be loaded. Down loaded 1.20.2.3252, then performed a manual update via WD apps method. App installs with out issues. Clicking ‘configure’ the plex web interface does not see the server running. it does not go through any configuration. only displays ‘Your Media’ under More and loads the web page to download the server. Wasted several hours trying to ‘restore’ my plex server to no avail after spending the $ for a lifetime pass. Now I have no plex services and my android apps can’t find the server.
How do I get the ‘configure’ to see the server running after an install? I’ve run uninstall, and re-installed the version that came with the WD apps. same behavior
