Up until recently I had two Plex servers running, one on my Windows laptop and the other on a WD MyCloudEx2Ultra. Both have working fine but now I cannot access the WD server and it’s doing my head in. I used the WD for my users as it is on 24/7. None of my players can see the WD anymore. I thought it may have something to do with a recent Windows update so I uninstalled the recent updates and that didn’t make any difference. I can still see and use the WD through Windows etc. When I try to browse it i.e. http://10.0.0.79:32400/web I get the response "this site can’t be reached. 10.0.0.79 refused to connect. Any Ideas out there?

Is your app current? Or did you update recently? My version is 1.19.4.2865. I had to downloaded, then manually installed which is a bit scary but it just updated to the new version.
Were you able to resolve?. I have just bought a x2 ultra and I cannot claim server. It reads update needed. I do it manually downloading latest version, but it continues to read that it needs an update. driving me crazy.

If you plan to record and watch later the X2 ultra works. if you need transcoding, the x2 ultra is not listed as approved by Plex. I have been using the x2 ultra for over two years with HDHomeRun watching live ota and dvr. Using Silicon Dust Connect Quatro (four tuners). That works well the HDHomreun program guide/dvr software works well with the x2. Costs $35 per year and Silicon Dust is good with support. I was not able to get the Plex to work as well as the HDHomeRun setup. The wd drive has never had any problems.
With your current situation, I would contact WD support. Their support is good especially if you are still under warranty.

Thanks, very interesting. I will try to contact WD support, since it keeps on reading that it needs a firmware update and I have the latest one. Then, not being able to connect with server, sucks.
I can see my movies via LAN but not from outside my house.
The claim the server message keeps on popping up, but I try to do so and “error” message is shown (suggesting I do it via the web app) that is not working (my guess is because of the firmware error message, but who knows.
