updating atv3

Hey,

I am running my ATV on firmware 5.2.1, and plexconnect always worked perfect. ( Windows 7 x64 & PMS 0.9.7.28)

I installed the certificate and stuff, no problem at all, everything worked fne.

But since yesterday i always get  the "Trailers at the moment unavailable , please try again later" , and cant figure out, whats going on. ( no ips changed, i am using the latest plexconnect master)

Now im thinking about updating my ATV to the latest FW, so maybe this will help.

DO i need to install the certifcate on the ATV again after the FW update?

Or maybe anyone got an idea whats messed up with my config;)

It should be there after updating, but it should also work now, so you should just try it. Or do you have a reason to not update to the latest?

well, actually i wanted to wait with the FW update ( still hope for a JB  ... :) )

but i just cant figure out , whats wrong with my setup :/

You have the latest plexconnect? I was reading somewhere here that one version of today or yesterday fucked things up

aTV 5.2.1 is fine.

Your log shows NO activity of aTV at all. This is most definitely neither an aTV nor a PlexConnect issue.

How about Firewall, Windows Update, Router changes?

i tried a new one from yesterday and got like a 9 days old one, both are not working.

I also updated my PMS today to ver. 0.9.8.6.175-88ffbb2

there is activity from Atv:

Now there is, right.

But only handled DNS requests... Something is blocking your http/https communication.

and how can i find whats blocking it? firewall is turned off completely!

This is one good question... anybody with Win experience around?

How about your router - does that have the ability to block communication?

There's a new icon on the ATV called Apple Events - obviously this is linked to the iPhone 5s launch on the 10th so could it be that the ATV has broken plex connect again as mine not working now where it worked fine a few days ago.

...don't think so.

1) mine is still working fine - even with the new icon.

2) there would be a lot more comments here in the forums.

updated to 5.3 now, still same error.

Hope someone still got some ideas whats going wrong  ...  I MISS MY PLEXCONNECT :o

I attempted to install yesterday and ran into same problem. I’ve been all over the web yesterday and today, can’t find a fix.

...don't think so.

1) mine is still working fine - even with the new icon.

2) there would be a lot more comments here in the forums.

You're right - wonder why mine suddenly stopped. I did a reset to auto of the DNS then back to the Custom DNS and trailers still worked as it would without plex! Damn!

Did you update anything else around the time things stopped working?

>> I did a reset to auto of the DNS then back to the Custom DNS

You also re-dialed in the correct DNS of your PlexConnect host, didn't you?
