and then NOTHING..

it registers and updates the script when I select trailers on the ATV2.. but.. I only get the unavailable message..

any pointers would highly be appriciated from this supporting user !

:)

thanks..

Matt

Do an update, try again, call back if issue persists.

You should AT LEAST see some DNSServer messages. Then - after selecting trailers on aTV - some WebServer messages.

Try flushing the DNS caches of aTV, router, host... whatever is involved.

Thanks Baa ..

I did as requested.. and yes sorry .. I just did not include the DNSServer messages..

here is the the feed I get..with the DNS Server mess...

The one thing I did change was I added new DD-WRT Firmware to my Router.. I think it could be related ..

1 - Try flushing the DNS caches of aTV, router, host... whatever is involved.

2 -Try - from another computer/smartphone, whatever - to browse to 192.168.1.110:80. What do you see? Do the same for *:443.

so .. still still still having same issue.. I even went out and bought a new Router - Apple extreme ..and I reserved my server on the router to 192.168.1.110

..I still get this error.. its just not kicking on .. I cleared all cache.. any pointers would be appriciated..

thanks !

Any port forwarding on you machine? Virtual Machine? Anything else out of the oridinary? Homesharing on?

Thanks for your response Baa

Port forwading is on for a smart home access - IP and MAC address are clear... no conflict

MyPlex also setup for remote access .. works well

no VMs active

Homesharing working via itunes..

I may just resolve this by playing via my iPad.. which works fine.. and pushing that to the Apple TV .. bummer as I think the resolution is lower

thanks  .. if any other idea.. Im game to try ..

Matt

The fastest solution opposed to troubleshooting is use the plexify app, It will generate everthing for you brand new, even the certs and walk you thru the entire installation automagically. If its still not working maybe you have a firewall or webserver or something else weird blocking ports. I would recommend deleting all the profiles from the atv and using the plexify generated cert on the atv. Restart router, mac, atv everything. Post results. You can use my signature or ibaa plexconnect wiki.

I flashed ddrwrt on my router as well and everything works fine.

I would strongly suggest you refrain from posting this in every troubleshooting thread.

ok, will do in the future. Just thought since they were osx only threads it would help them automate the install.

thanks guys.. issue is fixed..

This may sound silly but I had renamed my Plexconnect file folder to another name.. to "TV".. Renamed it to PlexConnect .. Refreshed the trailers profile again.. and POP.. Viola.. all good..

Im not saying that was the fix.. have no idea.. But Sheesh.. coincidence.. ?

I now know more about networking then ever cared for   :) !

thanks guys
