I’ve separated content to different drive to free up space. I’m able to add this volume but Plex sees this as a folder and not a drive so I’m unable to select folders with in the drive so it can display content properly. What it does display are two TV shows with all my content with in. How can I make Plex recognize this as a drive and not a folder? If I choose folder view the all the content is displayed within. What am I missing?
These drives are located in a 4 bay enclosure on my Mac mini. The main 2 drive volume is raided, One contains my TV shows and the last is a backup drive for both.
Thanks of that tom80H. Yes your conclusion is correct although that was not my intention. What I’ve come to realize is unlike previous times adding volumes and folder I was able to select the drive then add the folders from that drive. Long story short I manually put in the path to that drive and folder and it seems to be updating correctly. The library at this point is convoluted, but it seems to be successfully scanning. Hopefully in time it will properly sort it self out.
You should still be able to. Due to it being one large scrolling window rather than two separate scrollable columns the sub folders of a volume sometimes could be hidden above the fold because the window is scrolled to the bottom. My TimeMachine drive has folders but due to its position when selecting can’t see the folders till you scroll up for example.
Big wheel you’re the bomb. That is absolutely correct. I was able to access it that way. I’m surprised that I’d have to scroll to find it. Now I know! Thanks for that!
