Server Version#: 1.32.4.7195 as app on DSM 7.1.1
Due to few spare time I left my server plex server not updated. Now It suggests me to jump to 1.40.4.8679.
Are there some breaking changes to do it or it updates smooth?

Due to the smaller processor we have in Syno machines,
It will take a while for the upgrade to complete .
The database schema is getting overhauled. Depending on the amount of media you have indexed, it can take from 2 → 10 → 60 minutes.
It won’t get ‘hung’. Restarting it only makes it start over from the beginning.
The best thing to do is start it up and watch the CPU health / usage indicator on the Syno desktop.
When it returns to normal idle-ish level, give it a try.
You’ll either get the normal desktop or a “maintenance” 503 code XML.
