Upgrade from Plex Media Player for Windows 7 results in no access to server

OS: Windows 7x64 Pro SP1 all updates applied
Server Version#: 1.13.2.5154-fd05be322
WORKING Player Version#: 2.12.1.867-6c71195c-windows-x64
NOT working Player Version#: 2.21.0.914-4839cbf2-windows-x64

I uninstalled the Working version of Player, rebooted, and then installed the NOT working version.

When I click on Plex Media Player, the screen opens and the busy spinning icon just sets there forever. I can look at settings etc but it never works. I don’t see anything wrong it just won’t connect to my Server located on the same physical computer.

I uninstall this non-working version, reboot, reinstall the Working version, and sure enough all is good again!

Please help. Your suggestions are appreciated!

Hello,

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it. More works than before. It sees the server but cannot find the HOME page.

If it would help, I will be happy to provide the log file. What is the best way to upload the log file if needed?

Fetch the logs and zip them.

Then simply drag the zip file into the message window when you’re writing a post here.
