it will be in the General settings of the player.
Since you mentioned downloading I am guessing either the Plex desktop or HTPC app. Does https://app.plex.tv in your browser work?
thank you for replying! 4.84.1 windows 10 and when this happens, it doesn’t work on the app.plex.tv says “server unavailable” as well…I have to download it again and it seems to work for a little while…also, sometimes if my computer is asleep, it works on the tv, but other times I have to wakeup the computer for it to work (when my initial problem is not occurring and things are working properly)

will likely need to see the server logs after it happens.
I followed instructions to download, but there is no “manage” under settings…I tried looking in the actual plex folder, but there is no “logs” folder
at this point plex is really not very usable…it simply doesn’t work
the folder is called “Plex Media Server” not just “Plex”
It seems like you are downloading the player and not the server, or the server is not running at all. I’ve never heard of it not creating a log file when it starts up. If the server is running on windows it should show in the task manager and in the task tray
