So i see i have the option to ‘Upgrade libraries’ now - does that force a rescan/refresh of everything in that library or can i set it to do it as a scheduled task?

If you ignore this popup/notification and perform these steps manually, you can refresh metadata at your own convenience.
Just keep in mind that the conversion is not complete until a metadata refresh has been performed.
I recommend you to start the refresh per library before you go to bed.
One important thing: after changing the agent and saving, most users want to check the “Advanced” tab in their library properties.
Make sure the checkbox “Prefer embedded metatags” is DISabled.
