Upgraded Plex to 1.18.4.2171 - "Server Settings Unavailable" and can't update poster/content info

Hi all,

I just updated my Plex server to 1.18.4.2171 via my Synology NAS. First thing I noticed that was rather strange, was that I immediately lost access to my “Shared Plex” folder. Took a look at my permissions and noticed mine and my Plex users permissions had been reset.

Then went across to the front end of Plex. It’s basically “timing out” over and over and operating extremely slowly. When I try to view my Console logs, I just get the rotating orange “Loading” logo and then “Server settings are unavailable.” Same goes for accessing anything in my settings.

I’m also unable to “match” content anymore, or update any poster images.

I’m guessing this is all related to permissions but just not sure where to begin.

Thanks in advance.

James

Which version of Plex were you previously using?
Also, what is the IP address range of your LAN? (Workstation/PC and Syno ?)

After I just updated to same version on armv7 I had to reboot my pi, login via http web app, re click settings for allow insecure connections, reboot pi again, re-log in to web app with https and now web app connects properly and can view my content. Had to do this for all player devices that were updated this weekend and again today for this release. For some reason the update unchecked and changed some settings like this.

Thanks! The reboot did the trick. Everything looks like it’s back up and operating normally now.
