Server settings are unavailable

I’m not sure if this has only happened tonight but when I click on SERVER I get the message “Server settings are unavailable”.
Im using Synology, Plex version 1.10.0.4523

Anynone has any idea how can be fixed?

You are somehow locked out of your server.

  1. Control Panel - Shared Folders - Edit the Plex share
  2. Give your username R/W permission
  3. Stop PMS in Package Center
  4. Open File Station
  5. Plex share -> Library -> Application Support - Plex Media Server
  6. Delete Preferences.xml
  7. Start PMS
  8. Open http://ip.addr.of.syno:32400/web again (same as with first-time setup)
  9. Step through the first-time setup wizard as you previously did except Do Not create any new Library sections. Skip that part
  10. Arrive at the Dashboard
  11. Settings - Server
  12. Check the basic settings and set them again. Some will have been lost in the soft-reset.

Thanks it worked fine!

I have been annoyed at the “Server settings unavailable” for a while. The above method worked a treat, thanks.
