Upgraded to Latest Plex Version now can't find media on NAS

Earlier I installed the public version of Plex on my Mac and added my Movies (NAS), TV Progs (NAS) and Music (Local USB) and all worked perfectly.

I then downloaded Plex to my Xbox One and got the error to say I needed to update to the newer server version. I downloaded the newer Plex from the Pass users page and my xbox connected no problem and my library from earlier was present.

I went to play a film on my xbox and it said the media couldn't be found. I've opened Plex on my mac and it showed the Movies & TV as unavailable but the music which is on local storage works fine. I thought deleting the Movies & TV and re-adding might work but now Plex doesn't see my NAS's in the list of directories even though they are available in Finder.

Any ideas?

It sounds like your Mac has lost the mount to your NAS, which is why it's not available. For me, I normally use Finder's "Connect To Server" and enter the SMB address of my NAS. Then Plex Media Server should quickly re-find the missing paths. I'm sure other users will also have some suggestions...

I hope you get it resolved soon

Di you reboot the Mac? If you did, did the drives reconnect?

Can you still see them in Finder and if so, are they the same names as before?

[EDIT] - As IanB! states, you may have lost connection to the drives. I tell my Mac to reconnect at log in. I then run a simple script to automatically close the windows that popup.

Yep, drives are still mounted and can access them in finder.

Tried the age old IT trick of restarting the computer, working again!

Awesome, glad you got it working again :) If ever in doubt... reboot!

Hello IT, did you try turning it off and on again?
