Server Version#: 1.41.3.9314 (Plex Pass)
Player Version#: 4.144.1
Synology DSM 7.2.2-72806
(All the content files are on the Synology, the Plex server lives on the Mac M1, Mac OS 15.2. There was no tag other then the server-synology)
Went to play a movie (Bond movie) and Plex search didn’t find it. Checked the NAS, it is there. Dug some more, 1,506 movies on the NAS, 1,030 showing on the Plex server.
I’ve reindexed, optimized the DB, removed and re-added the Movies folder, no joy. All movies labeled as defined in support article (Die Another Day (2002).m4v)
Hi FordGuy61, thanks a ton for this. I did look thru the forums but didn’t find this before I posted. I have done a quick scan and will go thru the rest when I get home tomorrow.
Appreciate it.
Hey Ford Guy,
after reading all this thread and trying to configure, all the permutations, I realized, why not just run Plex on the Synology. I thought it would be time consuming to do after reading all the threads on taring files, copying all sorts of config files; I just signed into Plex on the Syn, and pointed at the Vids that were already living on the Syn and that was it. It is just finishing up some analysis after which I will try remote access. I expect it to work just fine. And, my movie count is just 4 shy of ttl. I will see why that is later. When I have more time.
But again, thanks for your quick help. The forum community seems amazing too. (expect that one guy) Very engaged.
Cheers,
TV
