Upgraded to PlexPass and lost bit perfect on PlexAmp

Server Version#: 1.43.0.10492
Player Version#: 4.12.4

One of my use-cases for using Plex is to stream local library audio files to my FiiO M23 DAP.

Until today, the stream would be bit-perfect on the FiiO DAP, but I just got the PlexPass and completely messed up the playback on the DAP. Now rates are absolutely random, sometimes the FiiO will display the proper rate, sometimes it will upsample to 48K, sometimes I will be playing a 44.1K file and the Fiio will receive it at 192K, etc. (see photos at the end for some examples).

None of this happened before I got the PlexPass. (I feel I should bold and underline this)

Without the PlexPass, the “Sample Rate Matching” was grayed out, but the player worked as it was supposed to. Now this foolishness happens regardless of which option I have under “Sample Rate Matching”, i.e. strict, disable, smart…

Here’s some more info, I know people will be asking about it:

Everything is OFF - no loudness leveling, no fades, no downmix, no eq, wifi is on maximum, buffering is just next song.

Btw, any other streaming service works just fine - Spotify lossless, Tidal, Qobuz, they all play at bit perfect. So it’s not a device issue or Android issue.

I have tried reinstalling the app, restarting the DAP, pretty much anything I could think of at this time.

Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated! Needless to say, I have cancelled my Pass, but I am stuck with it until it expires in a month, so no way to get around this issue without help.

Thanks!

I also want to add that I don’t get “Direct Play” anymore under my server’s Dashboard on the M23, and that’s regardless of which one of the “Sample Rate Matching” option I choose:
