Upgraded video card and now Plex is broken

Server Version#: 1.19.5.3112-b23ab3896
Player Version#:
This is on a Windows 7 box

Plex has been working great until I swapped video cards. Upgraded from a GTX 760 to a GTX 1650 GDDR6 (w/ turing nvec), and now when I try to manage plex it’s really flaky. It takes forever for either the Plex client app or the Web control panel to load, I only get one user (me) come up to select, then when it loads the app hangs for a while, then finally gives:

“Media not found. ## The media you’re trying to access doesn’t seem to exist.”

Ok I refreshed the desktop app and all the users appeared, logging into one give me the same result as about. It freezes for a while then the same error message.

I can’t access the server from other devices either, even for playback.

It’s running really slow too, drastically slowed than it was an hour ago.

oh and PMS used to run as a service but I disabled it and run it directly now.

Help!

This is actually just a coincidence. PLex auth servers are having problems right now, causing things to load slow or not at all. Nothing is wrong with your system or video card.

oh dang. I was just about to restore a backup.

And…can we not run Plex locally without Internet? Surely we can because I used to do it all the time. I’m having trouble getting into it directly on the server itself. It shouldn’t be crippled because of their servers being down, should it?

Yeah, yikes that it is crippled so badly from this.

Oh well finally restarted the server and did some much needed o/s patching anyways lol.

Have no issues streaming from my Smart TV App though, just browser seems to be useless.

On my Shield TV my girlfriend was logged into Plex using her email account where she has access to multiple servers, and her account is listed on my “home” accounts. Her account was logged in when this happened. I can’t access my local content and can’t switch users to the admin account for my server. Plex on that TV is dead.

Hey Plex people, you need to quit putting so much effort into growing your company so you can sell it to someone for a billion dollars and instead focus on improving your product in a way that helps your USERS. Without us and all the money we’ve spent to get you this far you’d be dead now. Fix your software.
