Upnp folder 'By Collection' under a music library stays empty

I couldn’t find much information on plex used as a dlna server but my understanding is that the folder ‘By Collection’ should reflect the collections (Collections | Plex Support) created in a given library. While the other basic upnp folders works great, I’m unable to populate that particular folder.

I don’t know if my expectations are wrong but having this working would be so awesome to support closed hardware… It would be a great way to offer painless browsing of your music collection when it’s huge to make an alphabetical breakdown for example (as suggested here : DLNA Music - folder re-org).

So what’s the deal with this folder ?
Should it reflect collections or not ?
Does it fail to support smart collections made from filters ?

I suppose that’s the culprit.
Smart collections are handled slightly differently; they’re currently also not showing in the collections filter (which is only looking for a respective tag).

Indeed… just tried on a regular collection and it works flawlessly of course

Well, at least I know what will be my next feature request !!

Static collections support for upnp is already awesome but if smart collections get support… I’m not sure we poor DLNA users are ready for such greatness.
