Music over DLNA sucks due to huge lists of folders
When browsing music folders over DLNA the performance is sluggish, partly due to crap clients (Yamaha receiver, PS3) and partly due to having lots of albums in the library. This means it takes a long time to pull down the list - which means it will take some time before ZZ-Top can be heard on the stereo.I would like Plex MS to stick in an alphabetical breakdown into the DLNA folder structure.
i.e:
Music -> By Letter -> Z -> ZZ-Top
Ideally, if I had thousands of artists beginning with Z, it would stick a second layer in there:
Music -> By Letter -> Z -> ZZ -> ZZ-Top
This need would go away if the Awesome Plex-app on my android had "play-to" DLNA renderer functionality.
My windows 8 PC can "play to" the Yamaha receiver - and amazingly it works. If Plex app could do the same - I would be a very happy man.
