I’ve noticed that the guide info has changed which has added MANY channels that are in my market (but far outside of my viewing area), and as a result, this has eliminated my only reliable PBS channel unless I switch my zip code to the DMA it is a part of.
I live in the outer fringes of the Mobile area and can pick up channels from the Biloxi-Gulfport area (including the station in question which is WMAH and it’s 4 channels.) The other stations guide information is available, but WMAH’s is not.
Is there a way to add stations like these or request that they be added to a particular zip code?
Apologies for missing your post. It came to light as we went through the backlog of feedback forms submitted and not processed.
I have looked into the 2 lineups
Broadcast TV Mbl-Pnscla (Ft Walt) OTA Broadcast
Broadcast TV Biloxi-Gulfport OTA Broadcast
and I can ask for WMAH channels on 19.x to be added to the Mbl-Pnscla (Ft Walt) lineup. But I see there is already a 19.1 channel there. Could you tell me if this should not have been in this lineup?
19.1 W19CO HSN
The three 19.x channels on the Biloxi lineup are
“channel”: “19.1”, “WMAHDT1”, “WMAH HDTV”
“channel”: “19.2”, “WMAHHD”, “WMAH PBS Kids”
“channel”: “19.3”, “WMAHC”, “WMAH Create”
Whilst checking the two lineups, I noticed a discrepancy between the two lineups for channel 13.2 WLOX CBS. Could you tell me if this is an HD or SD channel ? And is there SD/HD equivalent ?
Also 46.1 - is there a different channel in your area from the one for Biloxi ?
“WCTU” “WCTU-LP” in one but “WPHJD” “WPHJ The Cowboy Channel HDTV” in the other.
Unfortunately, it does appear that W19CO-D is still broadcasting, even if it is a low-powered station serving the Pensacola area. In reference to WLOX 13.2 CBS, it is a 720p HD channel.
WCTU is another low-powered Pensacola station that does not reach Mobile.
One thing I’ve noticed is that there are some “custom” OTA lineups floating around various zip codes. I’ve discovered a lineup in the 44444 Zip code ( [Broadcast TV (Cleveland/Surround) (OTA Broadcast)] that meets the needs of my Parents’ Plex server, since they live in a location that can receive both channels from Cleveland and Youngstown. How does one propose such a custom lineup for the zip code 36695? In my particular area, I can receive all of the major full-power Mobile Pensacola stations as well as all of the Biloxi-Gulfport full power stations, and even some of the lower-powered ones (WGUD-LD and occasionally WXVO-LD and it’s subchannels).
