Missing channels in plex live tv guide

Server Version#:1.16.1.1273
Player Version#: Samsung pmp
I live in Maryland using the Verizon FiOS Washington Metro Digital guide data, it is missing channels 1498 and 1499 when I am trying to map during set up. I am very disappointed as these are 4k channels playing soccer right now and I am missing out. Can you please get these channels added to the guide data? Or allow me the ability to surf channels, ie: tune into channels without using the guide?

I posted the same issue a week or two ago and it went unanswered. I’m missing channels in 04240.

I’m considering cancelling my subscription. I got the plex pass specifically for Live TV but it’s been nothing but problems for me.

The worst thing is I used to use HDHRViewer2 but that suddently stopped working so I was forced to get the Plex Pass

I somewhat solved it, I reverted to version 1.16.0.1226 which seems to use the OnConnect EPG data which had the channels. How do I make sure that the missing channels get added to the Cloud EPG?

Thanks for the feedback - Did any of you use the form on this post to give the details?

If not, please could you do that as the form - what we need is country, post code, lineup used and details of the omissions / channel errors

Thanks

I used the form earlier in the week. Do you know what the turnaround time is? Are you supposed to get a response back if it’s fixed or not?

I used the form as well and since we’ve been forced to update to using the new cloud EPG, I once again no longer have the channels, the next showing of soccer is on Wednesday and I’d really like to be able to watch it. An estimated turnaround time or some kind of feedback would be nice.

@airedwin, I updated to current release last night before going to bed and my missing channel was now there. Not sure if epg channels are dependent on releases, but it wasn’t there on Friday night. Hopefully you’ll get a resolution soon.

I posted this in other threads - missed this one

The issue of having long periods in the grid of “xxxxx Programming” should be fixed. The data has been purged and the cache should have expired now. It needs a full manual Guide refresh to resolve

The earlier channel lineup corrections need a DVR Deletion and re create (after a minute or two after delete) to pick up - please try to pick the Freeview OTA Broadcast lineups as these are the ones that have been addressed

@sa2000 thanks for the response, i’m not sure what you’re talking about. I have cable and i’m not using Freeview OTA, how would this help me?

Sorry - The reference to OTA was for users with Antenna selection.

I see you submitted a form for missing channels 1498 and 1499. This is being progressed with our guide provider

If there are any other channel / lineup issues please let me know and also report via the form

Version 1.16.1.1291
OTA
zip 44601
Same problem, I’m missing 60% of the channels in my live tv guide

Thanks for your post and for completing the feedback form
I have looked at the details provided on the form and one of the questions was for the exact name of the lineup. You did not provide that - or rather a vague answer giving the lineup name as a non-existing lineup OTA 44601

Looking at the list of lineups that for Antenna/OTA for your zip code, i see the following 2 options:

Broadcast TV Clevelnd-Akrn (Cntn) OTA Broadcast
Broadcast TV Alliance OTA Broadcast

Please go through DVR settings, Delete the DVR and then a minute later re create it and after entering your country and zip code, select one of these lineups and pick the best for your service.
If you have problems please report back with exact details errors and please fill a new form and mention that the previous form should be ignored as it did not specify which lineup was used

Thank you

Hello,

Now I see what the problem is.

After updating to Plex server 1.16.1.1291 the channels I had selected were split up in to two different lineups.

“Broadcast TV Clevelnd-Akrn (Cntn) OTA Broadcast” which is missing all Youngstown stations.

“Broadcast TV Alliance OTA Broadcast” which is missing all Cleveland stations.

This was my line-up before the update, a mixture of Cleveland & Youngstown stations;

3.1 WKYC-HD

5.1 WEWS-HD

8.1 WJW FOX

21.1 WFMJ-HD

25.1 WVIZ-HD

21.2 WBCB-HD

27.1 WKBN-HD

27.2 WYFX-HD

33.1 WYTV-HD

45.1 WNEO HD

Now I can only get either 4 or 6 of these.

Cleveland and Youngstown stations have always been easily received here OTA.

What makes no sense is that channel 11.1 WPXI-HD (Pittsburg) is available in the Alliance lineup. Why, Pittsburg is 90 miles away from Alliance, The Cleveland stations are 55 miles away, but not available?

Also, channel 2.1 KDKA-HD (Pittsburg) is available in the Cleveland line-up. Pittsburg is 125 miles away from Cleveland.

This lineup change is a deal beaker for me.

Thank you for the detail,. Please could you complete the form requesting that you would like a lineup that merges these two - please identify which channels you receive and were previously available in the lineup

@sa2000 is there any update on this? the final game of the world cup is tomorrow and the channels are still missing when I try to readd my DVR

I am sorry i do not have an update yet. But this morning a change went live that would address issues with not having the right regional channels by allowing the selection of a National level lineup and for the user to manually map the relevant regional channels from the drop down.

It may not be relevant to your issue but see if there is a national lineup to test

The two channels I submitted for are still missing in the guide. It’s kind of frustrating because other providers that are free have the channels. I paid for a plex pass because I thought it would be an easy solution for TV but I find myself having to spend a lot of time troubleshooting and having to set other services for guide data. Not sure what I’m paying for at this point.

I can now see 1498 and 1499 on your lineup - could you go through DVR setup to confirm
