USB tuner not recognised in latest PMS Ubuntu 24 (Intel), but works on 22.04 AMD and ARM DietPi

Server Version#: Version 1.41.0.8994
Player Version#: 4.136.1
Tuner Make/Model: RTL2832U
Guide/Lineup name: DVB-T Australia
Using XMLTV?: N/A
Channel number/Name: All

New PMS Installation in Ubuntu 24.04 using Snap on an Intel N100 processor. The USB tuner is not recognised by Plex. It is installed correctly and enabled in the operating system. Other software, e.g. Kaffeine, TVHeadEnd recognises the tuner, and tunes channels, can watch and record Live TV but Plex Media Server does not.
The same tuner IS recognised by Plex Media Server running on a Raspberry Pi 3B+ running DietPi (ARM64).
The same tuner previously was recognised by Plex Media Server running on Ubuntu 22.04 (AMD64).

Problem seems to be related to Snap Installation. USB DVB tuner passthrough is not supported via Snap.

Installed on Debian 12 server using apt, and the tuner is recognised and works as expected.

Please update the Snap packaging to allow for USB tuner passthrough.

While I ask Engineering about the Snap package rules for accessing hardware,

Have you considered running the native PMS package on the machine?

(I run native on a N100 machine)

Thanks @ChuckPa for your response. Before reverting to Debian on the N100, I attempted to install PMS firstly via apt, and secondly via deb. This is on Ubuntu 24.04. On both occasions, installation failed. I believe this was due to residual config conflicts with the previous snap installation (even though I thought I had purged the snap installation!). I reverted to a clean Debian 12 install (no snap), and installed via apt, and everything went fine (so far!).
