Use Google Drive as network hard drive for Plex?

i was wondering if there is a easy / good way to use the Google Drive as my primary hard drive for Plex? Note that im not interested in plex cloud, i still want to use my own server, but with google drive as hard drive so that i can get their “unlimited storage” feature.

Are there any easy (and hopefully free) ways to make this happen?

Im on Windows 7

Mount as a network drive with google drive fs and use it as a regular folder with plex.

Will that cause any API bans when scanning the library etc?

Google drive fs works like any other partition. It hides that it is a cloud storage.

How will it work when a user will watch a movie, will the movie be sent to my computer first and them my computer will send the movie to the user? Or will the movie be sent directly to the user (like FXP)? I basically want to know if this method will use double the bandwidth

As I see, GDFS will be mounted to your computer (and will work like a simple hdd), so yes. First the movie comes to you and as a server you will stream to the client.

Give a try to plex cloud service.
