"use hardware acceleration when available" Not an option - Mac Mini

Hi,
Running my PLEX PASS off a 2012 Mac Mini CAT-6’d to my Apple TV and using the Plex app.
I was wondering if my movie loading/transcode times would increase if I changed my settings via hardware acceleration but when I went to the “Transcoder” section there’s no option for it for some reason. Does anyone know what gives??! Screen Shot 2020-04-02 at 7.09.28 PM|690x512

Which model exactly to you have? Do you know which processor exactly is in it? Since it looks like you just got your PlexPass today have you restarted your server?

Hmmm no haven’t restarted yet.
Maybe that’ll fix the problem.

And Oops It’s a Late 2014 model Mac Mini
Processor: 1.4GHz Intel Core i5
RAM: 4G Memory
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536mb

That would suggest it does not support Hardware Acceleration. Haswell processor. some light reading on the subject.
