Use ONLY Gracenote genres and covers from agent instead of local data

Hello,

I am new to the Music library in Plex. I have a very good organized and tagged MP3 collection.

So I want to use my tags in the mp3 files. So I checked “use keywords” during import and made sure that the local media assets agents are on the top.

Plex used the metadata in the mp3 files. Fine! But I want to use the genres and posters (I have in every file a cover embedded, but they are low resolution) from the agents.

Is it possible to replace these two metadata by the agents? All other data (Album title, …) are should not change.

No, unfortunately this is not possible.
You can either prioritise all local metadata or all Gracenote data for albums.

If you use external high-res cover.jpg files, these will be preferred over embedded cover art though.
