New user. Just installed latest server and player. I want to be able use Plex on my local network to select my music on my computer with my mobile device- like in a Remote Desktop configuration. I.e., I want my mobile device to see my local music files and play thru the computer (that’s attached to my home stereo). Is this possible?
You can use the Plex mobile app to control another Plex client. You need to run a Plex client on your computer. This can be Plex Web or one of the standalone Plex clients. See Choose a Player | Plex Support for more info.

Oh my gosh! I saw the casting icon but failed to hit it as I thought it was only for chromecast! (Duh). Thank you so much! It works great and just what I need!
