Plex mobile not working as remote control

I installed plex mainly to use for my home hifi system because I wanted to be able to use my phone to control playback. I tried other programs but they didn’t seem to work well. The issue is, when I click on a song on plex mobile ios, it only plays in the mobile app. Is there a way for me to configure it such that the song plays on the computer the plex server is hosted on? Essentially, I want to use my phone as a remote control.

You need to use an app that is supported as a target/receiver app for Plex companion. The server is not a player and the web app is browser cannot be used as a target/receiver
