What are the steps to be taken to use Plex without internet?
I have a harddrive filled with media. I use this as a conventional system connected to my home network so with internet, updated regularly for all the artwork and stuff.
Now I want to take the system on holiday and use it in the car for the kids to watch movies as we drive 10 hours to France.
The PC I’m using is a 12v pc so can be used in the car, connected to a wireless router. 2 Samsung tablets connected via WiFi using the Plex client I purchased. This setup already works fine at home but when I try to use the offline setup the clients on the Samsung tablets won’t play anything anymore. It will work when I try it with VLC media player but then the covers are not visible to difficult for the children to choose.
So in short:

I run every update for all media so all covers are available

then I put the system in the car, connected to the router in the car, and connect the Samsung tablets wirelessly

the Plex clients should be able to play any movie as we do at home.
I don’t seem to get this to work.
Can anyone help me?
