I need a little (lot) help setting up a Qnap TS-464 NAS. I would like to use the NAS HDMI port to directly connect to a Denon AVR-4100X A/V receiver. Qnap docs a little slim on the HDMI port setup.

The Plex player app for HD Station (how you use the HDMI port for Plex)

  1. Was released to Public several years ago
  2. The user who maintained it stopped some time after that
  3. Updates to QTS, primarily QTS 5.0, prevent the app from launching.

Recommendation is to put a supported player device (almost any current streaming device ; FireTV. Nvidia Shield, etc) into the HDMI of the receiver and install the Plex player app on that device.
